Thank you, Lord

Thank you, Lord, for salvation so free,
For making it all possible on Mount Calvary;
It was cruel nails and a crown of thorns,
And your shed blood that allows us to be reborn.

Thank you, Lord, for the rich blessings you give,
Bestowing upon us every day that we live;
Thank you for the friends you place in our lives,
That we might be conformed to the likeness of Christ.

Thank you, Lord, for answering our prayers,
When we cast on you our burdens and cares;
For when we call on your precious Holy name,
Then our life will never again be the same.

Thank you, Lord, for being our loving savior,
For blessing us with your eternal mercy and favor;
Oh, that you hand might ever and always be,
Leading the way for your children to see.

On Resurrection Morning

Jesus came to earth to live as a man,
It was all a part of God's holy plan;
So He lived out His years as part of God's will,
Until He traveled on to Golgotha's hill.

He shed His blood upon the cross of Calvary,
That eternal life might belong to us so free;
Oh, the love, that He showed to pardon our sin,
But the grave was not strong enough to hold Him in!

On resurrection morning, He rolled the stone away,
The tomb that He laid in is still empty today;
Only God Almighty could even do such a thing,
By making Jesus Christ, the living, reigning King.

On resurrection morning, He came forth just as planned,
Astounding the hearts of every mortal man;
The Lords of Lords we sing to, is alive and well today,
And he deserves to hear our voice in glory, honor, and praise!

Written for Easter 2007.

The Words Of A Wounded Heart

Have you ever lost your desire to smile,
Because all of life's problems are cramping your style?
He can put that smile back on your face,
With just a touch of His love and grace.

Have your ever lost the joy of your salvation,
Because circumstances bring stress and frustration?
You may not understand what's going on,
But the Lord has promised to never leave you alone.

Have you ever felt that you could not pray,
That you just couldn't find the right words to say?
Bow down before His precious Holy Spirit,
Without even speaking, our Saviour will hear it.

Have you ever felt your heart breaking inside,
But there were no tears to come to your eyes?
He is worthy of your adoration and praise,
In the way you live, and the things you say.

Have you ever just thought of praising the Lord,
Who is worthy to be honored and adored?
Everything else will just fall into place,
When you bow before Him in glory and praise.

Cause Thy Face To Shine

Cause Thy face to shine, Lord, in this dark world of sin,
That men might see the way to be born again;
Make the light radiate from place to place,
That others may see your wonderful works of grace.

Cause Thy face to shine, oh glorious Lamb of God,
Let our voices praise Thee before we hear the rocks;
For your word says the rocks and hills will cry out,
If you don't hear praises come from our mouth.

Cause Thy face to shine, Lord, where circumstances are hard,
Your sweet, loving kindness helps the hurting heart;
Come down and minister to that one on bended knees,
You alone are worthy, and able to meet every need.

So cause Thy face to shine, Lord, that I might always see,
The brightness of your glory on the path for my feet;
Direct my steps always to walk in your ways,
That my heart might give you glory, honor, and praise.
